A. No problem.
Q.What happens if my rental bike breaks down?
A. We had 2 breakdowns in the whole of 2006. We take pride in the preparation of our rental motorcycles and every effort is made to make sure your rental bike is in perfect and SAFE working order. Our fleet is maintained by official BMW and Honda garages and each bike is further checked before the beginning of each rental. In the unlikely event that your motorcycle should break down you have 24 hour Europe wide breakdown recovery provided free of charge.
Q. What kind of drivers licence do I need?
A. A full motorcycle licence is required. Non European customers must carry their passport along with their licence and an international permit from your local motoring club, (AAA United States).
Q. What do I need to rent a motorcycle with MotoEspaña?
A. You must be 25 years or over, hold a current motorcycle licence and be able to provide us with a valid passport. While riding your rental bike you must carry photographic id, your licence and the MotoEspaña rental agreement.
Q. What about insurance?
A. 3rd party insurance cover is included in all rental rates. Please ensure you have the appropriate travel insurance for your trip. Members of the EU should ensure they have the correct medical care documentation before they leave. Comprehensive insurance is available for 22 Euros per day.
Q. What happens if I go over the allowed mileage.
A. We do not have a limitation on the distance you cover, unlimited mileage is included in our rental rates.
Q. Can I ride with a pillion passenger on the rental bike?
A. Yes at no extra cost
Q. What should I wear?
A. A crash helmet is mandatory for riding motorcycles in Spain. Clothing is at your discretion but we do advise you to wear a strong jacket and shoes. We now offer a comprehensive range of rental gear at low rates.
Q. I am not an experienced rider, should I attempt to ride a bike in Spain?
A. Yes. You will find that the other road users respect motorcyclists much more than in other countries. The reason for this is probably that a large number of car drivers also have motorcycles and as a result are very aware of their existence on the roads.
