MotoEspaña Rental Terms and Conditions.

THESE ARE THE GENERAL RENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF MotoEspaña. THE RENTAL COMPANY OPERATING THE RENTAL CENTRE MAY HAVE OTHER REQUIREMENTS. CHECK THE LOCAL POLICIES OF THE RENTING LOCATION FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

A. Rental Rates: Daily Rental rates are based on a 24-hour “rental day” starting at the time of rental. The minimum rental period on all motorcycles is 2 days. Weekend and weekly rates often reflect a savings over daily rates; however, returning a weekend or weekly rental early may not result in a proportionate savings. Additional days beyond the weekend or weekly rate plan may be charged at the normal daily rate.

B.Authorized Drivers: The vehicle may be driven only by an authorized driver named on the rental agreement. All authorized drivers must satisfy our age requirements, have a valid driver’s license, and fulfil our other qualifications, which vary by location. See our credit requirements below. The authorized driver and any additional authorized drivers may be subject to a driver record check (See below). No other persons are authorized to drive the vehicle.

C.Damage deposit. The renter must provide a valid Visa/Mastercard at the rental station, this card should have available credit to cover the damage wavier for the particular vehicle.

D.Booking and payment: At the time of booking the renters motorcycle will be reserved for the requested dates. Please refer to section E for cancellations.

E. Rent Guard Booking Insurance:

Cancellation 30 days or more before rental date 80% refund

Cancellation 30-20 days or more before rental date 60% refund

Cancellation 20 days or or less before rental date 20% refund

F. Booking changes: The renter may change or modify their booking 30 days before the rental date at no extra cost. MotoEspaña cannot guarantee that the original reserved vehicle will be available on the changed date or time.

G. Renters Responsibility It shall be the responsibility of the renter to take care of the rented vehicle and ensure no damage occurs to the vehicle while in the renters care. The renter must sign the rental agreement which states that they shall pay for damage or loss up to the agreed amount on the rental document. The renter shall be the only person allowed to operate the vehicle and any damage caused by other parties will be the renters responsibility. All vehicles rented by MotoEspaña are intended for regular road use only and may not be driven in extreme circumstances such as off-road, racing or broadcasting activities.

H. Accidents and breakdown: In the event of an accident involving other persons the renter must stay at the scene of the accident until the police arrive. A full accident report sheet must be filled out by all parties involved and both copies should be kept and returned to the MotoEspaña office.

I. Minimum age requirements: The minimum age requirement for all MotoEspaña vehicles is 25 Years.

J. Required documents: At the rental station the renter must provide a valid driving license which qualifies them to operate the rented vehicle. The renters passport and credit card will also be required at the time of rental. MotoEspaña reserves the right to refuse rental should the renter fail to provide the required documents.

K. Fines and Tickets: It is the renters responsibility to pay all traffic fines and tickets received during the rental period. MotoEspaña is obliged by law to provide the authorities with the renters details in order to pursue road traffic offences.

L. Property: The rental motorcycle shall remain the property of Highland Motorcycles S.L. The renter must return the motorcycle on the agreed date and time and failure to do so will result in further charges being applied.

M. Due to insurance requirements we cannot rent motorcycles to riders under the age of 25 years and all riders must hold a valid motorcycle license. For riders with a license not issued within the EU an International permit is required by law but not required at the rental centre.
